While Gajner Palace would have a slighter knowledge about its existence in people’s minds, Its location is also lesser known to the locals. But I’m here to take you there in the best possible way.

Gajner Palace In Bikaner is located on the outskirts of the city, and believe me reaching it, is too hard. I’m saying this because when we kicked our scooter for it, we did not have any idea how the way would be.

There is no clean and safe road approaching this palace. The roads are full of ups and downs, potholes.

Hence, I would suggest you hire a taxi so you don’t feel like you are in Ladakh. But anyhow if you still wish to get your two-wheeler there, you can experience the Ladakh trip in Rajasthan. Hahaha…

One more thing, there is not any local transport available, You have to hire either taxi, bike or autorickshaw.

Morning Between the Lush Greenary and Bird Chirps

Imagine waking up to this view, while you are enjoying the view you suddenly hear birds chirping around. So pleasing right?

The yellowish dawn rays fall on the lake just behind your room, and you are watching all these from your room windows and observing the wildlife around.

Don’t forget to enjoy your Maharaja stay, while enjoying your breakfast in the room.

Things to do In Gajner Palace in Bikaner

Wildlife Sanctuary

After having your breakfast, Now you should be ready to grasp a glimpse of Gajner’s beauty.

The Lush Greenery of Gajner makes it a perfect place for the wildlife inhabiting there, although there are limited animals that could be found here. But there was a time when the rulers of this land used to come here to hunt and spent some quality time.

Architecture of the Palace

Also, If you go and see the palace itself, built of red sandstone, it’s an aesthetically pleasant building.

Following the Rajputan architecture, it does not leave any chance to make you feel like a Maharaja or Maharani. Contrary to the Shekhawati architecture this doesn’t have the Frescoes on the walls.

Gajner Lake

Behind The Gajner Palace In Bikaner is the Gajner lake, for some fun activities the authorities have now allowed boating inside the lake.

The Candle Light Maharaja Dinner

The highlight of the stay that I found very impressive is the dinner date which you could have with your loved ones.

There is a restaurant outside the fort but in front of the lake. A special place with special cutlery and a sitting area is designed for tourists.

Suppose, you are sitting with your girlfriend or wife, and the sun is falling light yellow rays on the lake. As a result, the lake shines and glows.

On the back, you have palace green areas from where you hear, birds chirping around, and sitting inside a Rajputana palace takes it to a new different level of pleasure.

Also, One more cool thing is, comparatively the dinner prices here are more affordable than a 5-star dinner date. So, considering hotels over this place would not be a smart choice in my opinion.

After Staying your whole day, either you can conclude your day here or just extend your stay. Let me know, what you think about it.

Conclusion

In the last, I would like to say only one thing for any reason you are visiting this place. It can fulfill all your aspirations. Whether it is the destination, architecture, wildlife, lakes, or romantic dinner date.

The Gajner Place in Bikaner is a complete blend of everything.
